Constructed in 1902 and quietly nestling on a private headland overlooking the charming fishing village, the former Tai O Police Station is now home to nine exquisitely decorated rooms. In order to maintain its late 19th century character for the 21st century, every historical element and detail, such as the cannons, searchlight, corner turrets, dry-goods store and cells distinctive to the former police station, has been restored and refurbished in the Tai O Heritage Hotel. It is classically understated and elegant with a mix of colonial architectural elements such as a Chinese tiled roof, wooden casement windows, granite steps, French windows, and so forth. Additional details such as the arched façade, fireplaces, and connecting bridge between the main building and the outhouse all distinguish the Hotel's architectural style as belonging to the early 20th century. The well preserved beauty of the architecture, combining native rural charm with a contemporary twist, captures the original Hong Kong flavours and fragrances.

1. The above room rates are quoted in Hong Kong Dollars and valid from 1 January to 31 December 2020.
2. The above room rates are inclusive to 10% service charge, prevailing government tax (if applicable) and breakfast for two persons.
3. Maximum occupancy: two adults and one child aged 11 or below.
4. The official hotel check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 12 noon.
5. Cancellation & amendment policy: 7 working days prior to the arrival date, one room night will be charged. Less than 7 working days and no-show, full room rates will be charged. Tai O Heritage Hotel will charge your credit card directly should there be any late cancellation, amendment and no-show.
6. For late check-out at 6 pm, 50% of the room rate will be charged. And after 6 pm, full day room rate will apply.
7. Free of charge for one child aged 11 or below when travelling with adults and using existing bedding.
8. Extra bed at HK$360 net per room per night (subject to availability).
9. Baby cot is available free of charge (subject to availability).
10. Should there be any refund, a handling fee which is equivalent to 3.5% of the refund amount will be charged.
11. Upon confirmation of the booking, a deposit is required to guarantee the booking. Silk Road Hotel Management Co. Ltd. will contact you for the payment arrangement.
12. No refund for any early check-out.

Then a 20-minute walk or a 2-minute ride on jet boat* to the Hotel. B. 1 hour ride by BLUE Taxi from Hong Kong International Airport Taxi Stand to Tai O Taxi Stand (Approximate Taxi Fare: HK$220). Then a 20-minute walk or a 2-minute ride on jet boat* to the Hotel.
2. Depart from Tung Chung: A. 50-minute ride by bus route no.11 from Tung Chung Bus Terminus (near MTR station Exit B) to Tai O Bus Terminus. Then a 20-minute walk or a 2-minute ride on jet boat* to the Hotel. B. 35-minute ride by BLUE Taxi from Tung Chung MTR Station Exit D to Tai O Taxi Stand (Approximate Taxi Fare: HK$170). 3. Depart from Tuen Mun:
Take the ferry from Tuen Mun Ferry Pier that runs through Tung Chung, Sha Lo Wan and Tai O. Upon arrival at Tai O, either take a 2-minute ride on jet boat shuttle* near the Tai O Bus Terminus or a 20-minute walk to the Hotel.
4. Depart from Central, Hong Kong Island:
35-minute ride by fast ferry from Central Ferry Pier 6 to Mui Wo and a 55-minute ride by bus route no. 1 from Mui Wo Bus Terminus to Tai O Bus Terminus. Then a 20-minute walk or a 2-minute ride on jet boat* to the Hotel.
Remarks:
1. You may book a blue taxi in advance with an additional fee (HK$5.00) per ride through telephone hotline (Tel: 852 – 2984 1328).
2. The local jet boat shuttle service, which normally runs from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, is provided by the local villagers who do not have fixed service schedule and no advance booking can be made. Each ride is about HK$20 per head (accept cash only). The service will be suspended in case of bad weather or when the villagers are on their holiday. If jet boat service is not available, a 20-minute walk from Tai O Bus Terminus to the Hotel is required.
3. A 20-minute walk from Tai O Bus Terminus (or taxi stand) to Tai O Heritage Hotel: pass the Wing On Street and Tai Chung Rope-Drawn Bridge. At the Market Street, turn left and walk down the Shek Tsai Po Street. Please refer to the location map for details.
