[2011-11-16] Biluochun tea is one of China's top ten tea, produced in Dongting Mountain of Wu County, Suzhou. East Dongting Mountain, also known as Dongshan, is a peninsula that Suzhou stretches to Taihu. Filled with trees and the smell of flowers, it is one of the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan. Its loose soil, which is slightly acidic, and the humid climate have made it an ideal place for tea growing.
During the Qing dynasty, Emperor Kangxi visited Suzhou and praised the flavor of this aromatic tea. The tea leaves are picked from the Biluo Mountain near Tai Lake, and are collected traditionally in early spring between what is known as "Tomb-sweeping Day" and "Grain Rain Day"! |
