Timetable for Shenzhen-Xiamen Railway Released |
[29-1-2014] The timetable of Shenzhen-Xiamen Railway has been released recently, the railway offers first and second class carriage. A total of 20 trains set out from Shenzhen North Station to Xiamen North Station every day, with the first and the last trains depart at 7:00 and 18:55 respectively. Taking into account the 1 hour traveling time running between Xiamen Island and Xiamen North Station, the total traveling time from Shenzhen to Xiamen by train is expected to be shortened to around 4 hours, which is 3 hours faster than that of traveling by bus.
The Shenzhen-Xiamen railway links up China’s three economic zones, Shenzhen, Shantou and Xiamen, and the surrounding major cities. It is expected to be the most convenient and cost-effective Southeast Coast Railway connecting the Pearl River Delta and Fujian Province.
