Nanjing-Hangzhou-Ningbo High-speed Rail Opened |
[7-8-2013] Connecting Nanjing, Hangzhou and Ningbo, the new high-speed rail route that travels across Yangtze River Delta was officially launched on 1 July 2013. The new link, with a total length of 256 km, runs through 11 stations in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces.
The opening of the new route completes the “Iron Triangle” of high-speed transport service in the Yangtze River Delta by connecting the Shanghai-Ningbo and Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed rails. As it no longer needs to pass through Shanghai when traveling between Nanjing and Hangzhou anymore, the travel time will be shortened from more than three hours to about an hour, providing more convenience and flexibilities to travelers.
