The Xiangshan Park (Fragrant Hills Park) in Beijing is a hot spot during the fall every year. Locals and tourists come here to see for themselves the picturesque scenery designed by the nature. With over 160 maple trees scattered around the park, the leaves turn red and golden yellow from late October to early November every year. The colours are so clear and diverse, red, blaze red, pink, golden yellow, etc, making it a magnificent natural painting.  

 

Suzhou is well-known as a water town and a garden city worldwide.  In autumn, visitors come here for another reason. It is a major activity for the local people and those from the neighbouring cities to come and view the beautiful red maple leaves at Tianping Shan, where is famous for rocks, springs and maple. Though little known to overseas travellers, the stunning beauty of the autumn leaves has made Tianping Shan one of the four most popular maple leaves viewing spots in China.  The Maple Festival at Tianping Shan falls on November and December every year and it is worth a visit to feel the autumn breeze and delight your eyes with various colours of maple leaves, red, yellow, orange, and purple, etc.
